Glamorous Stage Outfits

Tina Turner
It's nearly three decades since Tina Turner starred alongside Mel Gibson in Mad Max.And as she approaches her 70th birthday than what better way to show she's still got what it takes than to pull on her old costume.Tina appeared onstage at Madison Square Gardens in New York last night in a modern interpretation of her chainmail outfit in the iconic Eighties film.

Madonna
It takes some panache to pull off a multitude of looks so successfully, and it's safe to say Madonna had it and then some. Throw in a cocky attitude, a smart mouth and a sense of reckless abandon, and the end result is as evident today as it was when she made her world debut.

Elvis Presley
This Elvis “Aloha” jumpsuit costume was first worn for the landmark Elvis television special “Elvis Aloha From Hawaii” on January 14, 1973. Bill Belew designed the white Elvis "Aloha" Eagle jumpsuit costume to signified America with an American Eagle patterned in red, gold, & blue gems. The costume was accented w/a belt decorated with gold American eagles. A spectacular calf-length cape proved to be too cumbersome during rehearsals, so Elvis ordered a hip-length cape to replace it.

Michael Jackson
Michael becomes the biggest star on the planet! He releases the best selling album of time and the most popular music video ever!

Cher at the Oscars in 1988, wearing a rather revealing black mermaid outfit!

Glamorous Lady Diana

She was Lady Diana Spencer, a shy kindergarten teacher who became a royal princess and future queen of England. But the world lost her one tragic night. There have been songs about Diana. There have been books. There have been videos painting a picture of this loving mother, glamorous lady, and haunted woman.

"Anywhere I see suffering, that is where I want to be, doing what I can."

"HIV does not make people dangerous to know, so you can shake their hands and give them a hug: Heaven knows they need it."

"I don't go by the rule book... I lead from the heart, not the head."

"I want my boys to have an understanding of people's emotions, their insecurities, people's distress, and their hopes and dreams."

Christian Dior fall 2009, Paris fashion week

Glam shoes-Milan Fashion Week (Autumn/Winter 2009/2010)

It happened during Phillip Lim’s runway presentation for Spring 2009. He used Christian Louboutin shoes to match his creations and it was a hit. Let us take a peek on what’s going on with the much-talked about collaboration between Phillip Lim and Christian Louboutin which are going to be out in the stores come March.

Shoe addicts out there will no doubt be scrambling to get a pair and if luck and money is on their side then they will be going home with pairs of these so called Christian Louboutin ruffled shoes to add to their collection.

The Christian Louboutin shoes for 3.1 Phillip Lim Spring 2009 Collection will no doubt be quite expensive. However, the style and uniqueness of each pair will make it worth your while. Women bleed for fashion, literally and symbolically. What’s a few grand for one extremely perfect pair of shoes, right?

If rumors are to be believed, then this wonderful collaboration will continue until Fall 2009 and will come up with more affordable and reasonable price tags.

Milan Fashion Week (Autumn/Winter 2009/2010)-PART 2

The fashion week runways for the Women's 2009/2010 Autumn (Fall)/Winter collections may be something truly different. In the midst of the economic crisis impacting the fashion industry one can expect smaller shows, fewer catwalks, more upcoming talent as opposed to big name models, and a general cut back in all areas. But that doesn't mean that we're going to love these catwalks any less; the fashion may be more staple, but its influence upon Fall 2009 and 2010 fashion trends will be no less powerful.

Vanity Fair Oscar Party

After the party are the after parties, and none is more exclusive than the Vanity Fair Oscar party. This year the party moved to the Sunset Tower after a year off.

Despite editor Graydon Carter's earlier claims of a smaller Vanity Fair Oscar party on Sunday night, the event permit filed with the CIty of West Hollywood, which CityFile dug up, says they're expecting a thousand people.

When Carter first announced that it would bring its usual Oscar party back this year, he said they were going to aim for a guest list of 650 instead of the customary 1,000-plus names. The move to pare down invites made sense given the recessionary times and the recent not-so-opulent mood at Conde Nast. But deciding who would get cut from the list — which, while full of celebrities, also includes more than a few advertisers who are currently being begged to buy ad pages — would have been a mighty chore.

This is the first year Vanity Fair is throwing the bash at the Sunset Tower Hotel (last year's party was cancelled amidst the writers strike; before that it was thrown for fourteen years at the restaurant Morton's). It's the same place where the magazine has thrown its Golden Globes party, so the party planners are familiar with the space. Morton's had a parking lot where they could set up a tent. But having spent some time at the Sunset Tower, it's difficult to imagine 1,000 people cramming into the hotel's lounge, bar and pool area all at once.

According to the NY Post, it was The Party be at, with guests leaving other bashes to come to Vanity Fair."The party" featured Kate Winslet clutching her Oscar, Vivi Nevo and fiancée Ziyi Zhang sitting with Brian Grazer, Wendi Murdoch and Phillip Dauman, and MySpace founder Chris DeWolfe huddling with Lyor Cohen at the inside bar.

Elsewhere, Madonna, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher threw a party, as they did last year, at Guy Oseary's house, but with less success. Rosario Dawson, Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban, Chris Rock, Sharon Stone and Jessica Biel left early for the Vanity Fair bash.
